No one is listening
we expect more from technology and less from each other
technology appeals to us most where we are most vulnerable
we’re lonely but we’re afraid of intimacy
the illusion of companionship without the demands of friendship
being alone feels like a problem that needs to be solved
i share therefore i am
you end up isolated if you don’t cultivate the capacity for solitude, the ability to be seperate to gather yourself.
if we don’t teach our children to be alone, they will only know how to be lonely.
time to talk.
start thinking of solitude as a good thing make room for it.
we all really need to listen to each other, including to the boring bits.
